The overhead light is off. Now what?

That is the hour this lamp is for. A ceiling light is a switch: on, or off, and nothing worth looking at either way. The Lumivano Wick puts something else on the table: a small flame under a clear dome, on a lantern base with one brass dial. It is the shape of an old oil lamp, shrunk to the size of a mug, with a face on the flame. You do not turn it on to see by. You turn it on because the room is better with it.

🎛️ Everything happens on one dial
No buttons to cycle through and no app. Turn the brass knob and the light comes up steplessly, from a glow you can sleep beside to bright enough to read a page by. Turn it further and it changes character: regular mode at 3000K for a soft white warmth, or candlelight mode at 1800K, which is the colour of an actual candle.

🔌 Put it down and forget the socket
There is an 800 mAh battery inside. On the low setting it runs for up to 120 hours, which works out at about six weeks of three-hour evenings, or roughly 6 hours if you keep it on the brightest. Bedside table, windowsill, a shelf, the dinner table. When it is empty, two and a half hours on USB brings it back.
