Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Order details: name, email address, delivery address, phone number and what you ordered. We need these to fulfil your order.
  • Payment details: we don't handle these ourselves. Your payment goes through our payment provider; we only see whether a payment succeeded.
  • Correspondence: what you email us, so we can deal with your question.
  • Site usage: anonymised statistics about which pages get visited, plus marketing cookies if you accept them.

Why, and on what basis

  • Performing the contract: processing, shipping and supporting your order.
  • Legal obligation: tax law requires us to keep invoice records for 7 years.
  • Consent: newsletter and marketing cookies. You can withdraw this at any time.
  • Legitimate interest: fraud prevention and improving the shop.

Who we share it with

Only with the parties needed to deliver your order: our e-commerce platform, the payment provider, the supplier who ships your parcel, and the carrier. They may only use your data for that purpose.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area. Because your order ships directly from our supplier in China, your name and delivery address go to a party outside the EEA. This is done under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and is limited to what is needed to deliver.

We don't sell your data. To anyone.

How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: 7 years (legal retention period)
  • Email correspondence: 2 years after it's resolved
  • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we process it, take it to another provider, and object to processing. Email info@lumivano.com and you'll hear back within one month.

If you're not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the data protection authority in your own country. We're established in the Netherlands, so you can also go to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Cookies

Functional cookies are needed to make the basket and checkout work; these are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are only placed with your consent. You can withdraw that at any time through the cookie settings, or by clearing your browser data.

Session recording

If you accept analytics cookies, we may record how you use this shop: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and which pages you move between. We use this for one thing only, which is to find out where our shop is unclear so we can fix it.

We do not record what you type into form fields, and we never record payment details. No recording is made unless you have given consent through the cookie notice, and you can withdraw that at any time. This is handled for us by Vitals, a Shopify app, acting as our processor.
