🧲 Two lamps in one
On its stand it is a table lamp. The head sits on a magnetic ball joint, so it lifts off in one movement and carries on burning on its own: down to the cellar, along the landing, or under the duvet with a book. Drop it back on the stand and it is a desk lamp again.

🌗 A tone for the hour, in plain language
Three settings, and the numbers matter less than what they do to a room. The brightest is the white of a bright office: the one you want over a keyboard at four in the afternoon. The middle one sits where an overcast afternoon sits, neutral and easy on paper. The lowest is the warm yellow of an old-fashioned bulb, which is what you put on when the ceiling light goes off. The head turns a full circle on its joint, so you can point the light at the page instead of at your eyes.

How fast is delivery?

How does the head come off?
It sits on a magnetic ball joint. You lift it straight off with one hand, and it keeps burning while it is off the stand. Put it back and it holds itself in place again.

Does it need a cable?
Only to charge. There is a battery inside, so where it stands there is no wire. Two hours on the charger gives you up to 20 hours of light on the low setting, which works out at about a week of three-hour evenings.

What do 6000K, 4000K and 3000K actually look like?
6000K is the white of a bright office, the setting to work under. 4000K is closer to an overcast afternoon: neutral, easy on paper, and not cold. 3000K is the warm yellow of an old-fashioned bulb, and it is the one you want once the ceiling light is off.

Does it get warm?
No. It is a 4.5 watt LED, so it stays cool to the touch even after a long evening.

Suitable for a child's room?
It works, but it is a lamp rather than a toy, and the head comes off in one movement. For a bedside light a child will actually handle, the Lumivano Wick is the better fit.
